WWV was set up in June 2006 to help keep Witney beautiful and well cared for.

We were encouraged by West Oxfordshire District Council (W.O.D.C.) which had long wanted a volunteer force to help in maintaining public footpaths and river paths in the Town.

Witney Town Council and Oxfordshire County Council, which also care for some public paths in Witney, have also given the volunteers their support

This website is an evolving project to publicise our work and attract new members.

Membership of WWV is £7.50 p.a. To find out more about us ring Juliet Curry on 01993 702202 or click on "about wwv" on the left. You can download the current membership form here.

“I like the teamwork aspect - it's very satisfying to see the difference we can make together in just a two-hour session. I see this time as an 'outdoor gym' which has the bonus of contributing to the quality of our environment. It's a friendly and creative group with a wide range of skills, and I learn something about the living world every week."

- quote from a WWV member.
